    This was one interview I'll always feel connected to. I was touched in more ways than I can put down into words. This my sister is strong, she's warm, light-hearted, a loving and present mother and a hardworker. She has the strength unexpected of her and there are many life lessons one can take away from her journey. May Allah in His infinite mercy continue to uphold and strengthen her.

I read something on the TV in the early hours of today. I was wide awake after tossing on the bed for too long. So I decided to see what was on TV and had the privilege of seeing the intro of SABC International News. They must have a word for that in the Media vocabulary, but I don’t know what it’s called. Anyway, the words were displayed in singles and it asked: “Why are people in Politics? Is it for War, People, and so on like that. Arise O'Compatriots!

The title of this post's the very first line in my homecountry's 'National Anthem'.Since the unsuccessful attempt of the suicide bomber last week,I really didn't think much of  it until today. Hubby and I were at the Nigerian Consulate earlier in the day to collect our new e-passports('e' is the abbreviation for 'ECOWAS  which stands for 'Economic Community of West African States).The previous one is not even half-full and still has a couple of years more to expiration.But there's a deadline to its expiration for Nigerian Passport holders across the globe.Anyway,to cut a long story short,being there really made me feel somewhat nostalgic and I just felt this sense of  patriotism.The Channel on the DSTV was CNN...go figure!Fellow Nigerians present there joked about how US's going to halt any visa offering to Nigerians because of this shocking discovery.I had a few words to say too.I mean,applicants practically sleep at the US consulate in Lag

DARE TO DREAM!

It is not a sin to dream...I find comfort in having fantasies sometimes.I remember the things I used to wonder about as a child.The power of imagination is so strong it makes your day-dream almost a reality.What I still do till date is imagine what life would be like,having no pressure this much and a tranquility instead.But I agree that life without an adventure is boring,dry and uninteresting...Still,there are times I just wish I could be whisked away to some farm house or some country home,where all you see is natural.A place where you'll be awoken by the cooing and whistling of birds,where the stream flows gently without turbulence,where you can hear the King of the jungle roar,yet not be afraid.A place where you can take walks and not fear for your life.A serene place where everyone knows and appreciates sharing the same neighbourhood,where kids can explore their childhood curiousity,where everyone's concerned about everyone's safety...I dream of just going some place
