Soul searching...

Every single person has a story. Whether it’s something worth writing or reading about, is a question of interest, and another thing on its own. I know I’ve got stories of my own, with peculiarities and uniqueness, both intertwined. What I’ve come to learn about life cannot be enlisted in one post, or even two. Some of the things I find really intriguing and interesting is knowing that, no matter how much hatefulness is sweeping across the globe, we still reason alike, we all eat-never mind the difference in taste bud, we sleep, procreate, defeacate, urinate, we smile at things that makes us giggle, cry at the ones that saddens us and express love to the ones we choose to love. Am an ardent lover of inspirational quotes, and so many times I’ve read my thoughts scribbled over the screen by someone hundreds and ...

These aren't my words, but they speak my mind as I reminisce on my journey through life;and not failing to acknowledge the role so many people have played to get me where I am today...
I have been doing more of reading than writing, for a long while now. And when I say "reading", I do not necessarily mean reading a book. I have been reading a lot from the social networks, Facebook in particular. I have liked more pages than I can count (still liking). I also created a group for women only (no foreign members though). I have also taken a 'posting break' as of the 7th of this month. I have different topics of interest and am trying to balance it all. I can't really say my head's been cleared of academic reading or writing for now. I intend to carry out some extensive online research on some of the topics I have lined out. Am  not getting the vibe I usually have before I write presently. But I just had to break the long silence this night, so continuation can be easier, and make it feel just like the old times.

… pen down, but not completely, just yet! For someone who have studied day and night, online, offline, all year through…yes, all year through. It would be expected that I at least take a break, however short; at least just for today. But I can’t let the day end without putting it into record that, my long journey of obtaining a degree has been concluded today. I should be concerned about seeing the results before I say “finished”, but that’s another phase entirely. So let me take a deep breath for now. A deep sigh of relief …pen down for exams, eyes will rest from flipping through pages, back and forth, and back again. It has been a long journey…Eureka! I wrote my final exam today…(to be continued)

Practical steps -How To Keep Going When All You want To Do Is Quit Excerpts from www.entrepreneurmag.co.za , with additional input from me… Get out of your negative space- Leave where and when that feeling sets in for a place you feel relaxed and un-pressured. Think of somewhere you can go, or someone you can be with to lift your spirit-a good distraction. Keep yourself busy- "An idle hand, they say is the devil's workshop". Get busy with something different. Do activities that you enjoy, and which takes your mind off worries. Develop a hobby, if you do not have one already. You'd be surprised how therapeutic it can be. Don't hide from the people you know- This may be a tough choice, but avoiding the people you know doesn't send your problems away. Rather, face them and let that be the motivation you need to not quit. Don't be invisible. If you want to carry on, your presence must be felt. Not everyone wants to see your downfall, there are still some good...
