I just had to break the jinx this morning before I get down to serious jacking,as my people will call it.It's almost at freezing point outside,even wehn we're near spring...God help us!My hands were so cold this morning I couldn't feel any blood flowing.I tried warming it up in my pockets,but even the winter suit couldn't hold that much.I had to boil some water using the electric kettle because I didn't put on the geyser last night--saving energy.That's me for you!And I poured some into my kids' plastic cups-one for each and soaked my two palms in...It wasn't soothing.That contact is definately not a good one...I mean,it's like ice falling into a water at boiling point.But I had to bear it..I still do not have a description for that feeling.But it definately wasn't fun.I had to,I just had to put the clothes on the line and it just reminded me that there're no basements in SA.I remember winter period in England.We dried some of the clothings i...

Just because this phrase is used,doesn't mean one should fold arms and do nothing.You can't just throw in the towel and be idle or docile.After over three decades of being on this planet,am just learning the word"Safari" is a Swahili language meaning 'Journey'..how interesting!Am not in anyway ashamed to say that because it doesn't mean am a dolt at everything else.As humans,learning is what we do and it's a continuous process..am developing a cold feet(no pun intended..no figurative expressions here).Winter's warming up&I think I must get off my butts now before my feet freezes....the socks can't handle it..too cold to handle I guess.Will return to this topic by 'morrow..God willing!!Am so cold am so am ....so cold!..I catch cold....!!!

The time finally came!

I was out all day yesterday. When I say” the whole day, I mean THE BETTER PART OF THE DAY”! I was a tourist guide”. I had to take out guests (couples) on a tour of our popular Festival Mall at Kempton Park . They are here for a management training, and are lodged in our B&B.I had no idea I would be doing so much walking. Else, I would have worn something more comfy’. My toes were seriously complaining, killing me softly. I eventually ended up walking without shoes (I had socks on though). Even if I hadn’t, I couldn’t care less! I just had to get those shoes off my sore feet. I had never taken anyone shopping for ten hours!Please don’t ask, I was on duty! After all that, I still had to return home to be a mother and a wife. I had to cook and make dinner for everyone.And that I did! I had been on some medication and it came in handy.I doubt I would have stood for another hour if I hadn't take the meds.
